Lift, Firm, Tighten
The ageing process is an inevitable part of life, and it affects every aspect of our bodies, including our skin. As we age, our skin loses its elasticity, becomes thinner, and develops fine lines, wrinkles, and age spots. Fortunately, there are numerous treatments available today that can help restore your skin’s youthful glow. One such treatment is the Focus Dual Treatment.
Focus Dual is a cutting-edge skin rejuvenation treatment that uses two different techniques to target different skin concerns. RF Microneedling and HIFU.
RF microneedling is a non-invasive treatment that uses radio frequency energy to penetrate the skin through tiny needles, stimulating collagen and elastin production.
These tiny micro needles create microchannels which allow the delivery of the radio frequency RF energy into the deeper layers of skin.
The energy stimulates the natural production of collagen and elastin which helps to lift, tighten and firm the skin, improving the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and the ageing process.
Radio-frequency microneedling treatment typically takes around 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area. Before the procedure, a numbing cream may be applied to the skin to minimize any discomfort. During the treatment, the radio-frequency device will be passed over the skin, creating tiny microchannels. Patients may experience some redness and swelling following the procedure, but this should subside within a few days.
The number of treatments needed will depend on the individual and the condition of their skin. Most patients will require a series of treatments, spaced several weeks apart, to achieve the desired results.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) is a revolutionary non-invasive medical treatment that uses high-frequency sound waves to treat a variety of medical conditions such as prostate cancer, breast cancer and many others. It is a safe and effective alternative to traditional surgical procedures, offering patients a minimally invasive treatment option with minimal downtime meaning that it does not require incisions or anaesthesia.
At Tajmeel Clinic we use HIFU for cosmetic purposes only.
High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound ‘HIFU’ has become one of the most sought-after lifting, firming, and tightening treatments for the face, neck and body. HIFU uses Focused Ultrasound with heat to target the deep structural layers of the skin without damaging the skin’s surface. It can reach the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) resulting in a natural lift, firmness and tightness with no downtime. The heat generated in the skin stimulates the production of new collagen to restore the lost one and reduce signs of ageing.
The treatment is described as fairly mild with a bit of discomfort for some patients. You might feel slight heating or tingling sensation during treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
The number of treatments varies with each individual’s skin needs. 1 to 3 treatments are recommended for best results. Top-up sessions are performed as required, but usually only once or twice a year.
Results can usually be seen immediately, but they get better up to 12 weeks post-treatment and can last from 1 to 2 years depending on maintenance and personal care.
Due to the non-invasive nature of HIFU treatment, there is virtually no downtime. You may experience slight redness following the treatment, and minor swelling, tingling or tenderness. These symptoms are mild and temporary.
You can resume your daily activities straight after with no special recovery measures needed. This is why HIFU has earned the name “lunchtime facelift”.
