What Is Scalp Micropigmentation?
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP), Dorset clients, is a procedure used to recreate the appearance of tiny hair follicles. It is a treatment that is commonly used. The purpose of recreating hair follicles is to achieve thickening of thinning hair, restoring receding hairlines, creating the look of a shaved head, and camouflaging scars.
This procedure uses micro-needles and is entirely non-invasive. The micro-needles inject a pigment into your scalp, and this creates the appearance of tiny hair follicles. Before we begin any treatment for SMP in Dorset, you will be invited for a consultation. This is where we will discuss the design and the best hairline style to match your age, face, and shape.
Dorset, SMP treatment is usually carried out over three sessions, beginning with establishing the hairline and injecting a lower density of dots. Your second treatment is normally booked in around ten days later, and the pigment from the first session has typically faded by then. It is at this stage that any changes can be made to the hairline and the chosen pigment.
One to two months following your second treatment, we will begin the third session. This session isn’t always required depending on the results from the first two sessions, but this is something we can advise you on. Once you have completed SMP, Dorset patients, you will find your hair appears fuller and thicker.
